Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
• Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Provide expert recommendations on menu items, including wine pairings, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance the guest experience
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with accuracy
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Upsell menu items including premium beverages or specialty dishes to maximize sales opportunities
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed, demonstrating culinary knowledge and teamwork
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
• Support the restaurant’s overall operations by collaborating with team members and contributing to a positive environment

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting, preferably with fine dining or hospitality environments
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures in food handling and serving
• Experience in food preparation, bussing, or host/hostess roles is advantageous
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Pay: $3.75 per hour
