Pay: $11.98/hour + tips
Expected Starting Earnings: $20+/hour including tips

Purple Roots is looking for friendly, reliable, and hospitality-driven Servers to join our team. We are a full-service Filipino restaurant focused on sharing Filipino food and culture through great food, warm hospitality, and a fun dining experience.

What You'll Do

As a Server, you'll be responsible for creating a welcoming and attentive experience for every guest from the moment they sit down until they leave.

Responsibilities include:

• Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service
• Guide guests through the menu and confidently explain Filipino dishes, ingredients, and pronunciations
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS
• Enter orders correctly and communicate special requests or allergies to the kitchen
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
• Check on guests throughout their meal and anticipate their needs
• Process payments and close checks accurately
• Maintain clean, organized tables and service areas
• Assist with running food, refilling water, pre-bussing, and resetting tables
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and sidework duties
• Work as a team with hosts, server assistants, food runners, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and restaurant service standards
• Help create a positive and welcoming environment for both guests and coworkers

What We're Looking For

• Previous serving or full-service restaurant experience preferred
• Strong communication and guest service skills
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Willingness to learn Filipino cuisine, ingredients, and proper menu pronunciations
• Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy service
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry trays, plates, and other service items

Compensation

$11.98/hour + tips

Servers can expect to start at approximately $20+/hour including tips, depending on sales, shifts worked, and guest gratuities. Actual tip earnings may vary by shift.
