Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing a positive first impression.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately while handling cash safely and responsibly.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including wine knowledge, spirits experience, and food safety protocols to answer guest questions confidently.
• Ensure sanitation standards are upheld through proper food handling, cleaning procedures, and adherence to health regulations.
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly for new guests, and supporting kitchen staff when needed.
• Foster guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment to ensure smooth operations during busy hours such as nights or weekends.

Experience

• Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in processing sales transactions.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
• Knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques.
• Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations ensures compliance with health standards.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail in order accuracy and guest satisfaction.
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions seamlessly.

Pay: $10.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week

Work Location: In person
