Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met during food handling and service
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations
• Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, prompt responses to inquiries, and personalized touches

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and billing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests quickly and professionally
• Culinary experience or background in food preparation enhances your ability to answer guest questions confidently
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to maximize sales opportunities without pressuring guests
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is a plus for creating a seamless dining flow
