Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system, Toast, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Process sales transactions accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods while balancing registers at shift end
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
• Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks when needed, adhering to food safety regulations
• Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a focus on fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or bars
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and build rapport
• Demonstrated ability in beverage service including spirits knowledge, cocktail mixing, wine expertise, and drink presentation
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
• Food safety certification and knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe dining environment
• Experience with food handling, food preparation, bussing, hosting/hostess duties, cashiering, and general hospitality operations
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
