Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash and card transactions accurately, including handling cash handling duties and processing sales transactions with POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including wine knowledge, spirits experience, food safety standards, and food preparation details
• Clear tables promptly after guests finish their meals, ensuring sanitation standards are met through proper bussing and sanitation practices
• Assist with food handling and basic food preparation when needed to support kitchen operations
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
• Support team members during busy periods by assisting with serving or host/hostess duties as required

Skills

• Proven experience in food service roles within restaurants or the food industry; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
• Sales skills including upselling beverages like cocktails, wine, spirits, and additional menu items to maximize revenue opportunities
• Knowledge of beverage service including drink presentation, cocktail mixing, spirits expertise, and wine knowledge
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales reports
• Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation standards to ensure compliance with health regulations
• Experience in food handling, serving, bussing tables, cashiering, and guest relations to deliver comprehensive hospitality service
