Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail and spirits service, maintaining proper beverage presentation and etiquette
• Process sales transactions accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally with fine dining exposure
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations management
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs gracefully
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume service times
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing tabs efficiently
• Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards in the food industry
• Previous experience in roles such as host/hostess or cashier is advantageous but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bussing tables or assisting in food handling
