ARIES is building its opening team at Hotel La Jolla, Curio Collection by Hilton, and we’re looking for exceptional servers to help bring one of La Jolla’s newest rooftop dining experiences to life.

Think stunning rooftop views, sunset dinners, elevated food and cocktails, great wine, music, and a room that comes alive as the evening goes on.

We’re looking for servers who genuinely get a kick out of creating that experience — people who can read a table, anticipate what a guest needs, make thoughtful recommendations, remember the little things, and bring warmth and personality to polished service.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome every guest with warmth, confidence, and genuine hospitality
• Create a polished, personal dining experience from beginning to end
• Guide guests through the food, wine, cocktail, and spirits menus
• Make thoughtful recommendations based on each guest’s preferences
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS
• Anticipate guest needs and remain present throughout the experience
• Maintain strong knowledge of menu ingredients, preparation, allergies, and dietary accommodations
• Communicate closely with the kitchen, bar, hosts, runners, bussers, and management
• Maintain clean, polished tables and service stations throughout service
• Process guest checks and payments accurately
• Follow responsible alcohol service, food safety, sanitation, and restaurant standards
• Support your teammates whenever needed — great restaurants operate as one team

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a polished, full-service restaurant environment preferred
• A genuine love of hospitality and taking care of people
• Warm, confident, and professional communication
• Strong food and beverage knowledge
• Wine, cocktail, and spirits knowledge strongly preferred
• Ability to read a table and adjust your service style to the guest
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Ability to stay composed and hospitality-focused during high-volume service
• Positive attitude with no ego — teamwork matters here
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays
• California Food Handler Card and responsible beverage service certification as required
• Toast POS experience is a plus, but not required

Compensation

$17.75/hour + tips

Full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Expected hours will vary based on availability, business levels, and scheduling needs.
