Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted clearly
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, including wine knowledge, spirits experience, cocktail service, and beverage handling with professionalism and flair
• Process sales transactions accurately, handle cash and credit card payments, and manage open/close cash registers with precision
• Upsell menu items to increase sales while maintaining a genuine interest in guest satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables promptly, resetting dining areas efficiently, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly for optimal guest relations

Skills

• Extensive experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for processing sales transactions
• Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations within the food industry
• Proven ability in customer service roles with excellent communication skills and guest relations expertise
• Culinary experience or restaurant background that supports understanding of menu items and food preparation processes
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining a positive attitude
• Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail mixing techniques, and beverage service standards
• Experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs is a plus; familiarity with OpenTable reservations system is advantageous
• Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling; ability to upsell effectively to boost sales
