Experienced Fine Dining Server

JT’s is a contemporary Italian fine-dining restaurant located on Elmwood Avenue. As part of a locally owned restaurant group with more than 30 years in Buffalo, we offer the stability of an established company with the standards, hospitality, and attention to detail of an independently operated restaurant.

We’re looking for an experienced, polished server who understands that great service goes beyond simply taking orders. The right candidate is warm, confident, knowledgeable, attentive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Providing warm, professional, and attentive service throughout the guest experience
• Guiding guests through our menu, daily features, wine list, cocktails, and beverage program
• Taking accurate food and beverage orders while recognizing allergies, dietary restrictions, and special occasions
• Maintaining proper pacing and communication with the kitchen, bar, expo, and management team
• Running your own food and actively helping teammates run food throughout service
• Anticipating guest needs instead of waiting to be asked
• Maintaining table cleanliness, organization, and proper steps of service
• Using suggestive selling naturally and confidently without making the experience feel transactional
• Developing strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, wine, cocktails, and our menu
• Completing opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities thoroughly
• Supporting the entire dining room and contributing to a team-first service culture
• Maintaining professionalism, urgency, and composure during high-volume service

What We’re Looking For

• Previous upscale or fine-dining serving experience strongly preferred
• Strong food, wine, and cocktail knowledge
• Genuine interest in hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Professional appearance and communication
• Ability to confidently describe food, wine, and daily features
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining polished service
• Team-first mentality and willingness to assist wherever needed
• Dependable, punctual, organized, and accountable
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
