Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant restaurant team. As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert beverage and food knowledge, and a positive attitude. Your role is vital in creating memorable dining moments, ensuring smooth operations, and fostering guest satisfaction from the moment they walk in until their departure. Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Square POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend pairings, and upsell items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain food safety standards by following sanitation protocols, food handling procedures, and proper serving techniques.
• Assist with food preparation or bussing tables during busy periods to support team operations.
• Handle guest inquiries promptly, resolve issues professionally, and foster positive guest relations to ensure repeat visits.
• Support opening or closing duties as assigned, including setting up or cleaning the service area.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service roles within restaurants or the food industry.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Effective time managment
• Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink service techniques.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities.
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions seamlessly.
• Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation standards required for safe food handling.
• Experience in hospitality environments such as restaurants or nightclubs; host/hostess or cashiering experience is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills coupled with a friendly attitude that enhances guest relations.
