Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance the dining experience
• Accurately take food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated effectively
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards, ensuring guest satisfaction with every course
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing genuine recommendations based on guest preferences
• Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and maintaining cleanliness throughout service periods
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and process payments swiftly with cash handling skills
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations management
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest relations professionally
• Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances your ability to answer guest questions confidently
• Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy service hours
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a positive attitude
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and check splitting
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
