Server

We are currently seeking friendly, dependable, and attentive Part-Time Servers to join our team at Yangtze Wok Hei featuring Nanami, a fusion restaurant featuring traditional Szechuan cuisine and Japanese cuisine.

Weekday availability is required, with opportunities for both lunch and dinner shifts. Weekend availability is welcomed and may provide opportunities for additional shifts or coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

As a server, you will be responsible for providing attentive and welcoming service to our guests while working efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting guests and providing friendly, attentive service throughout their dining experience
• Taking accurate food and beverage orders and entering orders into the POS system
• Becoming familiar with our Szechuan and Japanese menus in order to answer guest questions and provide recommendations
• Serving food and beverages accurately and efficiently
• Checking on guests throughout their meal and anticipating their needs
• Handling payments and completing transactions accurately
• Answering restaurant phone calls and taking takeout orders
• Packing takeout orders when needed and ensuring orders are accurate and complete
• Maintaining clean and organized tables and assigned sections
• Completing opening and closing side work, including dining room setup, stocking, cleaning, and beverage station duties
• Assisting teammates and management as needed to keep service running smoothly
• Following restaurant cleanliness, food-safety, and service standards

What We're Looking For

Previous serving experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train candidates with customer-service experience who are motivated and able to learn quickly.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
