Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently.
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine and spirits knowledge, to help guests make informed choices.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items, including specialty cocktails or premium spirits, to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments securely, and manage tabs using POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software.
• Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and cleanliness during service.
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure seamless operations.
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving any concerns with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and sales processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Ability to multitask effectively while managing time efficiently during busy hours.
• Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing bills or tabs.
• Culinary experience or food industry background is a plus for understanding menu items and food safety standards.
• Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management tools is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills coupled with a friendly demeanor to enhance guest interactions.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
