Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing a welcoming first impression.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring clarity and precision.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments, while managing cash register operations.
• Upsell menu items such as cocktails, wines, spirits, or specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including food safety standards, wine pairings, and beverage options like spirits and cocktails.
• Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions about menu items, accommodating special requests, and fostering positive guest relations.
• Support sanitation protocols and food safety regulations to uphold health standards in all service areas.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours and contribute to a lively nightclub or fine dining atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in restaurants, fine dining establishments, or nightclubs is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Culinary experience or food industry background is advantageous for understanding menu components and food safety practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills coupled with a positive attitude that promotes teamwork and guest satisfaction.
