Somaek pays homage to the cuisine Chef/Partner Bissonnette fell in love with while cooking with his mother-in-law, Soon Han-so much that she is officially titled the restaurant's consulting chef. The menu, written in both Korean and English, celebrates traditional dishes and a robust banchan menu. This includes, but is not limited to four different kimchi, seasoned cucumbers and stewed potato. Not to be missed is Cartin's convivial cocktail menu featuring flavor-forward, low ABV libations. This includes the eponymous Somaek, our namesake that is a popular Korean drink made with soju and beer. Hospitality is at the core of this concept and the sister venues next door by BCB3.

SERVER

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated Server with fine dining experience to be more than an order taker in our three concept restaurant on 11 Temple Place. The New York Times has named us "50 best in the Country" three years running along with a James Beard nomination and Michelin recommendation. We are looking for a hospitality minded individual to grow with us and enjoys learning.

**Duties:**

• Take food and beverage orders accurately

• Deliver orders to tables promptly

• Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about menu items

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area

• Handle guest inquiries and make connections with everyone

-Passion for food and music

**Skills:**

• Prior fine dining experience in the culinary or food industry

• Proficiency with POS systems

• Passion for learning

• Excellent time management abilities

• Basic math skills for handling payments

• Knowledge of fine dining etiquette is a plus

• Ability to make genuine connections with our guests

• Understanding of sanitation guidelines in food service
