Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, including sales transaction processing and cash handling with precision
• Upsell menu items like wines, cocktails, or specialty drinks to maximize sales opportunities while providing expert beverage recommendations based on guest preferences
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations; handle food safely during preparation and serving
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly to uphold excellent customer service

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and transaction processing
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to build guest rapport quickly
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques including drink presentation and bartending basics (OpenTable experience is a plus)
• Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation, change handling, and sales transactions
• Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with upselling techniques to increase sales while ensuring guest satisfaction
• Strong communication skills combined with a positive attitude that fosters guest relations and teamwork
