Role Description The Server role at Trattoria Bolu is a full-time, on-site position based in Basking Ridge, NJ. In this role, the Server greets guests, presents menus, explains gluten-free options and other specials, and answers questions about ingredients and preparation. The Server takes orders accurately, coordinates with kitchen staff, serves food and beverages, and monitors tables to ensure guests have everything they need. Daily tasks include handling payments, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, resetting tables, and following all food safety and hygiene standards. The Server also contributes to a positive team environment by communicating clearly with coworkers and supporting smooth restaurant operations during service.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide friendly, attentive, and professional guest service, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfort explaining menu items, including gluten-free options and basic dietary information, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in table service, order taking, and handling payments using POS systems or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and carrying food and beverages safely.
• Strong teamwork skills, reliability, and a proactive approach to helping coworkers and supporting smooth service.
• Commitment to food safety, hygiene, and following restaurant policies and procedures.
• Previous serving or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Availability for a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
