Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with selections to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
• Process cash and credit card transactions smoothly, ensuring accuracy in sales and tips
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly
• Support bar service with cocktail preparation, spirits knowledge, and beverage presentation in fine dining or nightclub settings

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
• Culinary experience or food industry background preferred for menu familiarity and food handling expertise
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Experience in fine dining or nightclub environments is a plus for adapting to different service styles
