Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service from seating to check-out.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
• Serve food, cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards.
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, including handling cash handling and sales transaction processing.
• Upsell menu items like specialty drinks or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling.
• Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize guest flow during busy hours.
• Demonstrate knowledge of food safety regulations, wine knowledge, cocktail recipes, and spirits experience to educate guests and enhance their experience.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during nightclubs or fine dining settings.
• Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service roles such as serving, bartending, or host/hostess positions within the food industry.
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for processing sales efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink presentation techniques.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing bills or tabs.
• Experience in fine dining or nightclub environments is a plus for adapting to diverse settings.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices essential for maintaining a clean environment.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and team members seamlessly.
