Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, fast-paced, and friendly Server to join our team at Tofu Story in Allston. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience, from taking orders, completing side tasks, to delivering food and beverages with a friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
• Be able to handle multiple responsibilities at once- multitasking is necessary!
• Take responsibility for shifts during the day (10:45am-4:30pm/5:00pm) or the evening (5:00pm-1pm). Please note the duration and start/end times of these shifts may vary.
• Be at least 18 y.o to serve alcohol
• Take accurate food and drink orders using the Shift4 POS System.
• Provide recommendations on menu items and specials to enhance the guest experience.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our culinary standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently while ensuring guest relations are upheld.
• Uphold health and safety regulations in accordance with food industry standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the hospitality or food industry is preferred but not required.
• Korean language proficiency preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations and customer service.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing time efficiently during busy shifts.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to help others, including guests and fellow staff members.
• Knowledge of Korean culinary terms and menu items is beneficial but can be learned on the job.
• Must be able to commute to Allston, MA

Job Type: Part-time

Projected Total Compensation: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour
