Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our restaurant opening team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert beverage and food knowledge, and a positive attitude. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create memorable moments for our guests while ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials with enthusiasm and detailed knowledge.
• Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) system, ensuring all details are correct for efficient processing.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating cocktail experience and beverage service skills.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly approach.
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, cash handling duties, and balance registers at shift end.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations; assist with bussing tables and resetting stations as needed.
• Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing concerns promptly to ensure guest satisfaction in both casual dining and fine dining settings.

Qualifications

• Proven food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and ability to handle diverse guest needs efficiently.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail in order accuracy and food safety standards.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques; previous cocktail experience is a plus.
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately; familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
• Experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bussing is beneficial; strong communication skills are essential for team collaboration.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
