Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system (Toast) ensuring all special requests are noted
• Serve food, cocktails, wine, spirits, and beverages with precision and flair, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods securely
• Upsell menu items including drinks, desserts, or specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables promptly and assisting with food handling and kitchen support as needed
• Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions about menu items like wine knowledge or cocktail options

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Toast and OpenTable a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation techniques
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs seamlessly
• Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
