Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales transactions processing
• Maintain knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
• Provide personalized guest service by addressing questions about menu items, wine pairings, or beverage options based on guest preferences
• Manage multiple tables with excellent time management skills to ensure timely service without sacrificing quality
• Support the team in maintaining a clean, organized dining area that adheres to sanitation regulations

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
• Culinary experience or extensive beverage knowledge including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink service is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
• Experience with fine dining or nightclub environments is advantageous but not required
• Basic math skills for processing payments and managing tabs confidently
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
• Strong communication skills coupled with a friendly demeanor and guest relations expertise

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
