Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of service areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling as needed
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns swiftly
• Demonstrate extensive beverage knowledge, including wine pairings and spirits experience, to enhance guest engagement
• Support guest relations by addressing questions or special requests with professionalism and enthusiasm

Requirements

• Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality settings; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
• Strong knowledge of beverage service, including cocktail preparation, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink service techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest inquiries gracefully
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing cash transactions and calculating bills
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
• Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is beneficial but not required
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a lively restaurant environment
