Server Job Requirements – Japanese-Style All-You-Can-Eat BBQ

Eligibility

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (must complete Form I-9 at hire)
• Able to complete payroll and tax paperwork (SSN or ITIN, Form W-4)
• At least 18 years old (we serve alcoholic beverages)
• Willing to obtain, or already holding, a Food Handler certificate

Communication

• Fluent English, able to communicate clearly with guests, explain the menu, membership benefits, and the grilling process
• Able to communicate smoothly with coworkers and the kitchen team
• Additional languages (Chinese, Japanese, etc.) are a plus, not required

Availability

• Highly flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and closing shifts
• Willing to adjust hours based on daily business volume
• Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings are peak times and require strong availability
• Punctual and reliable with scheduled shifts

Commute

• Has reliable transportation and is open to any mode of commuting (subway, bus, bike, car, etc.) to arrive on time
• Comfortable commuting after late-night closing

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk for long periods and work near hot grills
• Able to lift about 25 lbs (plates, trays, supplies)
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume AYCE environment

Skills & Attitude

• Friendly, patient, and service-minded
• Willing to learn BBQ table service (grilling for guests, explaining meats and cooking methods)
• Actively promotes membership sign-ups and encourages guest reviews
• Follows sanitation standards (attire, handwashing, self-serve area upkeep)
• Strong team player who follows manager and shift lead direction
• Restaurant experience preferred; training provided for those without

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
