Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail and beverage service, while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Process cash and credit transactions accurately, including sales transaction processing and handling tips with integrity
• Upsell menu items such as wines, spirits, or specialty cocktails to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations through bussing and sanitation practices
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed to ensure smooth service flow
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions about menu items like wine knowledge or spirits experience and resolving any concerns promptly

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions confidently
• Experience in cocktail mixing, beverage service, wine knowledge, or spirits is preferred
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude; previous host/hostess or serving experience is beneficial
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as bussing or assisting in the kitchen when required
