Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist them in seating arrangements or reservations using platforms like OpenTable or similar reservation systems.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, leveraging POS systems such as TOAST to ensure seamless transactions.
• Provide expert recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.
• Engage with guests to ensure their needs are met, addressing any concerns with professionalism and a friendly approach.
• Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for new guests, maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery, ensuring timely service in both casual and fine dining environments.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for billing, and manage cashiering duties confidently.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to provide excellent guest relations.
• Support sanitation standards by adhering to food handling protocols and cleanliness guidelines in all areas of service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; experience in fine dining or nightclubs is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast , or OpenTable for reservations and transactions.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes.
• Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; a passion for the food industry is essential.
• Outstanding communication skills to foster guest relations and teamwork within the restaurant environment.
