Server

Troy Social is seeking experienced, personable, and hospitality-minded Servers to join our team. Servers are responsible for creating an exceptional dining experience from the moment guests are seated through the completion of their meal. The ideal candidate is confident, attentive, knowledgeable about food and beverages, and able to thrive in a busy restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience.
• Explain menu items, daily specials, cocktails, wines, and other beverages.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Ensure orders are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor tables throughout the meal and anticipate guest needs.
• Answer guest questions regarding ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and menu options.
• Make thoughtful food and beverage recommendations.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, runners, bussers, and management to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain awareness of table status and communicate updates with the team.
• Check on guests regularly without being intrusive.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when necessary.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly set tables.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and restaurant policies.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Support fellow team members during busy periods.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant serving experience required.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Hospitality-focused approach to guest service.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must meet applicable legal requirements for serving alcohol.
