Responsibilities:

• Taking Orders: Greet customers, take their orders accurately, and ensure special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen staff.
• Serving Food and Drinks: Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation meet the restaurant's standards.
• Providing Recommendations: Offer menu suggestions, provide information about specials or promotions, and answer any questions customers may have about the menu items.
• Upselling: Suggest additional items such as appetizers, desserts, or drinks to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Ensuring Customer Satisfaction: Check in with diners during their meal to ensure they are satisfied with their food and service, and address any concerns or issues promptly.
• Handling Payments: Present bills to customers, process payments accurately, and return change or receipts promptly.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the dining area clean and organized, including clearing tables, resetting them for the next guests, and ensuring condiments and utensils are stocked.
• Collaborating with Kitchen Staff: Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly.
• Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations: Follow proper food safety and hygiene protocols, including handwashing, wearing gloves when necessary, and handling food safely to prevent contamination.
• Assisting with Opening and Closing Duties: Assist with setting up the dining area before service begins, as well as cleaning and closing duties at the end of the shift.
• Handling Customer Complaints: Listen to customer feedback, address complaints or issues courteously and professionally, and escalate to management if necessary.
• Upskilling and Training: Continuously develop skills and knowledge of menu items, wine pairings, and customer service techniques through training sessions and on-the-job learning.

Skills:

• Food Safety and Hygiene: Familiarize yourself with food safety protocols, including proper handwashing techniques, safe food storage, and temperature control..
• Customer Service: Develop strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service.
• Teamwork: Practice working effectively as part of a team, as the kitchen environment often requires collaboration and coordination.
• Adaptability: Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing circumstances and demands.

Hours of operation: Monday to Thursday 11:00am- 8:00pm - Friday to Saturday 11:00am- 9:00pm
