Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating cocktail experience and beverage service expertise
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments via POS systems, and provide correct change or receipts
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food handling regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation and timely delivery of orders in a fine dining setting

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; prior server or host/hostess experience preferred
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor; ability to engage guests positively
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Culinary knowledge including food safety practices, food preparation basics, and sanitation standards
• Beverage expertise including wine knowledge, spirits experience, drink service techniques, and cocktail preparation skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
