Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest experiences, demonstrating strong food and beverage knowledge, and maintaining high standards of service in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food safety protocols are highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and grow within the food service industry.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring presentation quality
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments via POS
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and assisting with sanitation procedures
• Assist guests with special requests, dietary restrictions, or inquiries about menu items
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Support guest relations by providing attentive service and addressing concerns promptly
• Follow food safety guidelines during food handling and preparation when necessary

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast or OpenTable for order entry and payment processing
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relations
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to manage time efficiently during busy service hours
• Upselling techniques to promote menu items effectively
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling and bill splitting
• Experience in bussing tables, host/hostess duties, or kitchen support is a plus
• Hospitality background with a focus on guest services in a fast-paced environment
• Good knowledge on wine service
