Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system via handheld
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while ensuring guests’ preferences are met with personalized recommendations
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for new guests, maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments via POS system, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
• Be knowledgeable about menu items and confidently answer guests’ questions regarding ingredients, preparation, and menu options.
• Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive dining experience
• Support overall restaurant operations by collaborating with team members to uphold sanitation standards and deliver outstanding customer service

Experience

• Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments is required
• Familiarity with POS system, such as SpotOn, is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Experience in food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends in a lively and fast-paced restaurant
