Hanington Teahouse opened in April 2025, we are a Teahouse and cafe located in a historic home in Shediac Cape. Looking for a part time server Thursday's and Fridays. Some weekend hours may be available as well.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing outstanding customer service and ensuring that all food and beverage orders are handled efficiently. Your ability to manage time effectively and maintain a positive attitude will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, preferably Micros POS.
• Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance the dining experience.
• Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring that all items meet quality standards.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
• Foster positive guest relationships through excellent customer service and hospitality skills.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
