Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring all special requests are noted.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, spirits, wines, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Process cash transactions and credit card payments accurately; handle cash handling responsibilities with integrity.
• Maintain knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders; assist in food preparation when necessary.
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Support beverage service including cocktail mixing, wine pouring, and spirits knowledge to elevate the guest experience.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas including tables, bar stations, and service stations throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and sales transactions.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to connect with diverse guests.
• Demonstrated ability in food handling, sanitation practices, and adherence to food safety regulations.
• Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail mixing techniques, and beverage service standards.
• Effective math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs efficiently.
• Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a lively setting.
• Culinary experience or background in the food industry is a plus; kitchen experience can be beneficial for teamwork purposes.
• Strong communication skills coupled with a passion for hospitality excellence.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
