Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails and spirits, maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
• Upsell menu items such as wine, specialty cocktails, or desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase sales
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained throughout service
• Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
• Strong knowledge of beverage service, including spirits, wine, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for processing orders and transactions
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest inquiries professionally
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service periods
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing sales reports
• Knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation standards, and proper food handling practices
• Previous experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management systems is a plus
