Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Server to join our vibrant restaurant team! Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, offering personalized recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Process cash transactions, credit card payments, and handle cash register operations efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations through bussing and sanitation practices.
• Assist in food preparation when needed, ensuring food safety standards are met at all times.
• Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly with a positive attitude.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow.
• Manage beverage service including spirits experience, wine knowledge, cocktail mixing, and drink presentation.

Requirements

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential; fine dining experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management skills.
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Culinary experience or kitchen background is preferred to support food handling and preparation tasks.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards, food safety protocols, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
