Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks.
• Take accurate orders using the POS system Aloha POS, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling additional menu items like beer.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling, serving, and cleaning duties.
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly during busy hours, and supporting host/hostess duties when needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly.
• Demonstrate excellent guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, recommending specials or drinks, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS for efficient sales processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and calculating bills or tips.
• Experience with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Previous experience in serving alcohol responsibly and understanding liquor laws related to spirits service.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
