The Opportunity

We're looking for an energetic, personable, and hospitality-driven Server to join our team.

Our ideal candidate understands that exceptional service goes beyond taking orders and delivering food. It's about anticipating guests' needs, understanding the menu, creating connections, and taking ownership of the entire dining experience.

We're looking for someone who can balance polished, attentive dinner service with the energy of a lively downtown restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with genuine warmth and professionalism, creating a positive first impression.
• Guide guests through our food, wine, and cocktail offerings with confidence and enthusiasm.
• Develop a thorough understanding of our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
• Provide attentive, timely, and personalized service throughout the dining experience.
• Accurately enter orders and process payments using our POS system.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, hosts, and fellow team members.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly prepared tables and service stations.
• Anticipate guest needs and address concerns with professionalism and care.
• Support teammates during busy periods to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Follow established service standards, opening and closing procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Take accountability for assigned responsibilities and consistently maintain the standards of Bushell's.

What We're Looking For

• Previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and connecting with people.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Confidence discussing food, cocktails, and wine with guests.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to remain composed, professional, and attentive during busy service.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of personal accountability.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to meet Michigan's legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
