Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of food and drink options.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
• Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and tip management.
• Upsell menu items like cocktails, wines, or desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly for optimal guest relations.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor and the ability to handle multiple tables efficiently.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire; understanding of sanitation standards is essential.
