Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales records
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist with food handling, prep support, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently
• Demonstrate extensive beverage knowledge including spirits, wine pairings, cocktail preparation, and drink service techniques
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or bars
• Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Ability to multitask effectively while managing time in a fast-paced setting
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
• Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail recipes, and beverage presentation techniques
• Experience with food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
• Excellent communication skills to engage guests confidently and professionally
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred but not required; hospitality background highly valued
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
