Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring timely communication with the kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
• Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to maintain a seamless flow of service.
• Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for maximum efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or food service experience, preferably in fine dining, breakfast or nightclub settings.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
• Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques, sales skills, and effective time management during high-volume shifts.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and accurate order processing.
• Experience with culinary preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required; a passion for food industry knowledge is essential. Pay: $16.27 - $35.00 per hour
