Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast, and communicate orders effectively to kitchen staff.
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Monitor guest needs throughout their visit, responding quickly to requests for additional items or assistance.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
• Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently and maximize seating capacity.
• Build rapport with guests to foster repeat business through excellent customer service and guest relations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightlife experience.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as toast.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to boost sales while enhancing guest experience.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing procedures.
• Experience in serving at nightclubs or high-energy venues is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
