Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, ensuring an exceptional dining experience from the moment they arrive.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including daily specials, and actively engage in upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining attention to detail regarding presentation and accuracy of orders.
• Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, ensuring timely service and addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, adhering to sanitation standards at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and timely delivery of orders.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of food safety practices, including proper food handling techniques to ensure guest health and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, with fine dining experience being a significant advantage.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately; cashiering experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary experience, or kitchen experience is beneficial.
• Understanding of sanitation practices and food safety regulations within the food industry.
