Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items including wine, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including food safety standards, wine pairings, spirits, and cocktail recipes
• Ensure proper sanitation and food handling procedures are followed at all times
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly to accommodate new guests
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Support team members during busy hours by managing multiple tables efficiently and demonstrating strong time management skills

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while processing sales swiftly
• Excellent communication skills paired with active listening abilities
• Basic math skills for bill calculation and change handling
• Culinary experience or food industry knowledge is advantageous but not required
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred
