28 nomad, a contemporary Asian restaurant in NoMad, is looking for an experienced and hospitality-driven Server to join our front-of-house team.

We are a small, fast-paced restaurant offering an à la carte menu alongside a strong wine and cocktail program. Our service style is polished and attentive while remaining warm, relaxed, and approachable.

Because we operate with a small team, we’re looking for someone who can confidently manage their own section while working closely with the entire FOH and BOH team.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive, and professional service throughout the guest experience
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Develop a strong understanding of our food, wine, and cocktail offerings
• Guide guests through the menu and make thoughtful recommendations
• Clearly communicate allergies and dietary restrictions to the kitchen and management
• Manage multiple tables while maintaining proper pacing during busy service
• Accurately enter orders and process payments through Toast POS
• Maintain cleanliness and dining room standards
• Complete opening, closing, and assigned side work
• Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, runners, kitchen staff, and management
• Support the team wherever needed during service

Qualifications

• Previous NYC restaurant serving experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Positive, team-oriented attitude
• Genuine interest in hospitality
• Basic wine and cocktail knowledge preferred, but extensive wine knowledge is not required
• Ability to learn detailed food and beverage menus
• Weekend availability strongly preferred
