Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling cash handling duties with integrity
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, including wine knowledge, spirits experience, and food preparation details to answer guest questions confidently
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to promote smooth operations
• Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Support openTable reservations management for seamless seating arrangements
• Contribute to a lively nightlife or fine dining experience by engaging guests in conversation and promoting specials or events

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations and customer service excellence
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktail preparation, spirits experience, wine knowledge, and drink service techniques
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently through excellent time management skills in a fast-paced setting
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Culinary experience or food industry background preferred; experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Exceptional communication skills combined with a friendly attitude to foster guest satisfaction
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic hospitality environment

Pay: From $11.95 per hour
