Job Summary

Greenstreet Cafe is looking for a personable, attentive, and motivated Server to join its front-of-house team in Coconut Grove, Miami. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with guests, providing thoughtful service, and working in a lively restaurant that serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and late-night dining.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, present menus, and explain daily specials and menu selections.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation and quality standards.
• Answer questions about ingredients and accommodate dietary requests when possible.
• Check on guests throughout their meals and respond to requests professionally.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure timely service.
• Process payments accurately and handle guest bills.
• Maintain clean, organized tables and dining areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol-service procedures.
• Resolve routine guest concerns and notify management when additional assistance is needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly, professional attitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a busy dining environment.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems.
• Previous serving or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service is an advantage.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Flexible availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Duties

• Prepare assigned tables and service stations before each shift.
• Review menu updates, specials, and available offerings.
• Monitor table sections and manage multiple guest orders efficiently.
• Maintain appropriate communication with the kitchen and service team.
• Complete side work, restocking, and closing duties.
• Help create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week

Work Location: In person
