Located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, The Parlour Room offers an elegant yet inviting dining experience featuring refined American cuisine, craft cocktails, and an impressive collection of over 400 whiskies.

Our distinctive space combines old-world charm with modern hospitality, featuring plush velvet booths, tassel bar lamps, a wood-burning fireplace, and a stunning 1920s Italian Baroque chandelier. Custom furnishings designed in Ireland complete an atmosphere that celebrates the art of whiskey and hospitality.

The Role

As a Server, you are at the heart of the guest experience. You'll be responsible for delivering knowledgeable, attentive, and personalized service while helping create the warm and welcoming atmosphere that defines The Parlour Room.

The ideal candidate is confident, professional, detail-oriented, and passionate about food, wine, spirits, and hospitality. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their section, anticipates guest needs, and understands how to guide the dining experience without making it feel rushed or transactional.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, attentive, and personalized service to every guest.
• Guide guests through our food, cocktail, wine, and whiskey offerings with confidence and enthusiasm.
• Demonstrate thorough menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
• Make thoughtful recommendations and suggest pairings that enhance the guest experience.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service throughout the dining experience.
• Accurately take orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and support staff to ensure timely and seamless service.
• Maintain proper table maintenance, including clearing, resetting, and monitoring guest satisfaction.
• Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining excellent service standards.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and communicate issues promptly to management.
• Recognize regular guests and help create memorable, personalized experiences.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.
• Support fellow team members to ensure a smooth and successful service.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 1 years of serving experience in an upscale, high-volume, or casual fine dining restaurant preferred.
• Strong understanding of hospitality, restaurant etiquette, and steps of service.
• Solid knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and spirits; whiskey knowledge is a plus.
• Experience using Toast POS preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
