Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort is located on Fripp Island, South Carolina, a 3500-acre private island located at the end of U.S. Highway 21 South. It is the last inhabited island in a chain of islands leading from historic Beaufort to the Atlantic Ocean. During the summer, we are in full swing with Resort guests checking in and out every week. In the offseason, we see golf groups, many weddings, and winter renters.

Join the Opening Team at the New Beach Club

Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort is preparing to open the newly reimagined Beach Club Restaurant—and we are building an exceptional team to bring it to life.

Located in the heart of Fripp Island’s Beach Club complex, this new restaurant will combine a relaxed coastal setting with warm, attentive hospitality and consistently excellent food and beverage experiences. More than a restaurant opening, this is an opportunity to help establish the culture, service standards, and traditions of a destination our members and resort guests will enjoy for years to come.

Position Summary

Fripp Island Golf Club & Resort is seeking an experienced Server to deliver warm, attentive, and accurate hospitality across our restaurants and event operations. The Server owns the complete table experience, follows approved Steps of Service, maintains strong menu and beverage knowledge, processes orders and payments accurately, and helps create a memorable experience for every member and guest.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests and execute the approved Steps of Service.
• Maintain full ownership of assigned tables from greeting through farewell.
• Learn menu items, beverages, ingredients, allergens, preparation methods, and current availability.
• Enter orders accurately in Toast and communicate allergies, modifiers, pacing, and special requests.
• Provide responsible recommendations and suggestive selling based on guest preferences.
• Maintain tables, service stations, sidework, opening readiness, and closing sanitation.
• Process checks, payments, cash, comps, and corrections according to approved procedures.
• Declare and verify tips accurately before completing checkout and clocking out.
• Follow responsible-alcohol-service and identification requirements.
• Resolve routine service concerns and involve a manager when additional support is needed.
• Work across trained outlets, banquets, and events based on seasonal and business needs.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to the position, training, and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Previous professional serving experience is required.
• Strong hospitality, communication, organization, timing, and guest-recovery skills.
• Ability to learn and communicate detailed food, beverage, allergen, and preparation information.
• Experience using a restaurant POS system; Toast experience is preferred.
• Approved alcohol-service certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to handle cash, credit-card transactions, checks, and tip procedures accurately.
• Availability to work a flexible hospitality schedule.
• No degree requirement and no fixed minimum number of years beyond demonstrated relevant experience.
• Schedule Expectations
• Hourly, non-exempt, tipped position; full-time, part-time, or seasonal schedules may be available based on assignment.
• Availability may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, peak seasonal periods, banquets, and special events.
• Work location and schedule may change based on outlet, event, and resort needs.

Advancement Opportunity

Servers who demonstrate exceptional hospitality, product knowledge, responsible alcohol service, reliability, and leadership potential may be considered for cross-training and advancement to Bartender or Assistant Restaurant Manager as opportunities become available.

Requirements

To be considered, applicants must demonstrate they meet the following requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, carrying trays, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive service activity.
• Ability to work safely in busy dining rooms, bars, kitchens, outdoor venues, and event spaces.
• Ability to carry customary trays, beverages, dishes, linens, and supplies safely, with assistance when appropriate.
